Though this is an OLD post from back in 2007, figured that I bring it back since I thought it was one of the most informative/insightful posts on the continuining issue of how people, year after year, are going back to the past & trying to understand things on the basis of MAN/INCOMPLETE FACTS and the TRUTH OF THE WORD/THE LOGIC OF GOD……that, and I really enjoyed the videos and thought that they may’ve been missed/passed up.

Romans 1:21-25

21For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.

24Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

How much value do you feel you have if you believe you came from a “monkey”…..or if you’re simply “matter”, does anything we do truky matter? Would there be any point in “Morality”(Right & Wrong) if everything simply happened & there was no moral lawgiver to uphold a standard? Whose to say that crime is a bad thing? If evolution is true, would it not simply be a matter of “survival of the fittest” & SHOULD WE not let nature take its course when one hears of things such as rape, murder, injustice, oppression, or other kinds of evils we vehemently fight against?

As odd as these issues/questions sound, that’s essentially what you may end up at when one advocates the view of EVOLUTION. For if one is to hold on to it as FACT, he or she had better be certain that it is sufficient to adress the issues of life that ALL WRESTLE WITH: WHo made us, Why are we here, what is our purpose, etc…..& in my opinion, evolution simply cannot hope to do so.

What evolution has essentially done is what the Bible describes In Romans 1, where people reject God, and look to themselves as the Creator/Sustainer of Life & believing themselves to be the center of the universe……….but the end result is that we lose sight of our own idenity as those who are actually HIGHER THAN THE ANIMALS—MADE IN THE IMAGE OF GOD, from which our ULTIMATE VALUE COMES FROM.

In Genesis 2:7, the Bible describes how God made Adam from the DUST OF THE GROUND, implying that there’s nothing fancy about the chemical elements of our bodies……for the body is a lifeless shell until God brings it alive with his “breath of life” …….& once God removes that breath of Life, our bodies once again return to dust, showing that our life & worth come soley from HIM.

Without that basis of our worth being based in something higher/greater than ourselves (God), what else is there to base it on but on things such as our possessions, achievements, physical attractiveness, MIGHT, or acclaim….alll of which are destined to fall away? And without God, what purpose is there in anything we do? Or in restraining ourselves from the things we’ve come to belive as RIGHT/WRONG? It all becomes arbitrary as to what we do……..& thus, the rest of Romans 1 becomes fufilled, where man takes a DOWNWARD SPIRAL INTO SIN, LIFELESSNESS…….& CHAOS, as we’ve seen in the world today from MANY OF THE PHILOSOPHIES THAT PLACED MAN AT THE CENTER/REJECTED GOD……..From COMMUNISM, to HUMANISM, MARXISM……tHE LIST GOES ON.

Psalm 14

For the director of music. Of David.

1 The fool [a] says in his heart,
“There is no God.”
They are corrupt, their deeds are vile;
there is no one who does good. 2 The LORD looks down from heaven
on the sons of men
to see if there are any who understand,
any who seek God.

3 All have turned aside,
they have together become corrupt;
there is no one who does good,
not even one.

Romans 1:20-32

20For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

Amen.

26Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

28Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. 29They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

Someone may ask “How does creationism vs. evolution impact how a person views the world?”…..& to that, please allow me to share some thoughts from another on the subject:

” The key difference between creationism and evolution comes down to our certainty about everything we think we know. Think about it: if our five senses and our brains are merely the product of random, purposeless evolution, how can we be sure that they’re giving us reliable information? The thing that my eye and brain perceives as “red” might be perceived by your eye and brain as “blue,” but you call it “red” because that’s what you’ve been taught. (The colors themselves won’t actually change, since they consist of certain, unchangeable frequencies of the electromagnetic spectrum.) We have no sure way of knowing we’re talking about the same thing.

Or suppose you see a rock that seemed to have carving on it that reads “Chicago: 50 miles.” Now also suppose that you believe that those markings really are nothing but the result of random erosion from wind and rain that just appear to spell out this message. Could you have any real confidence that Chicago is really 50 miles away?

But what if you knew that every normal set of eyes and brains are designed to perceive a certain frequency of the electromagnetic spectrum as “red”? Then you can have confidence in knowing that what I see as red is also what you see as red. And what if you knew that a man had carefully measured the distance 50 miles from Chicago and then put a marker there to indicate that. Then you can have confidence that that marker is giving you accurate information.

Another difference in how creationism vs. evolution affects a person’s view of the world is in the realm of morality. If we are merely the products of random, purposeless evolution, what, precisely, do the terms “good” and “evil” mean? “Good” as compared to what? “Evil” as compared to what? Indeed, without a measuring stick (e.g., God’s nature), we have no basis for saying that something is good or evil; it is merely an opinion, which really has no weight in judging how I act or how I judge the acts of others. Mother Teresa and Stalin simply made different choices in such a world. There is no answer to the ultimate “Says who?” when it comes to determining right and wrong. And while atheists and evolutionists can certainly lead moral lives, if they were true to their beliefs they would have no reason to, nor would they have any basis to judge the actions of those they determine to have done something “wrong.”

But if there is a God who created us in His image, then we are not only created with a sense of what is right or wrong, but we also have an answer to “Says who?” Good is what comports with God’s nature, and evil is anything that does not.

That all said, What follows is information from what I consider to be the most EXCELLENT REBUTTAL TO THE ISSUE OF EVOLUTION/DEBUNKING THE LIES THAT HAVE SO BEEN INCORPORATED INTO OUR CULTURE/SCHOOLS…..even among CHRISTIANS………& for those who may not know, please make no mistake at the double-standard taking place when public schools seem to get in cahoots about creationism/christianity being taught in schools becaus e of the “seperation of church & state”, for EVOLUTION IS A RELGION/FALSE TEACHING….& WE NEED TO BE AWARE OF THE DANGERS THEREOF. The following videos are merely clips of the seminars he does, & I’ve also included the links to the places where one can find the rest of the videos in order:

Also, here’s SOME DEBATES TAKING PLACE BETWEEN HOVID & some Evolutionists that was very insightful:

The above one deals with His debating a man who used to be a FORMER CREATIONIST….Very Intriguing……

The one belows is a debate between Hovid & SKEPTIC MAGAZINE

Here’s a debate between Kent Hovind vs Molecular Geneticist:

Also, if anyone’s interested, “WAY OF THE MASTER” had a pretty intriguing debate on the Issue of EVOLUTION VERSES CREATIONISM. It was between them & a group known as the “Rational Defense Squad”, which is heavily against religion & is also sponsoring a movement where people are (no surprise here) encouraged to get a video cam & PUBLICLY BLASMPHENE GOD & CURSE THE HOLY SPIRIT ( http://www.abcnews.go.com/Nightline/story?id=3148940&page=1 )

Psalm 8

For the director of music. According to gittith [a].
A psalm of David.

1 O LORD, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
You have set your glory
above the heavens. 2 From the lips of children and infants
you have ordained praise [b]
because of your enemies,
to silence the foe and the avenger.

3 When I consider your heavens,
the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,

4 what is man that you are mindful of him,
the son of man that you care for him?

5 You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings [c]
and crowned him with glory and honor.

6 You made him ruler over the works of your hands;
you put everything under his feet:

7 all flocks and herds,
and the beasts of the field,

8 the birds of the air,
and the fish of the sea,
all that swim the paths of the seas.

9 O LORD, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!

Ecclesiastes 11

Bread Upon the Waters

1 Cast your bread upon the waters,
for after many days you will find it again. 2 Give portions to seven, yes to eight,
for you do not know what disaster may come upon the land.

3 If clouds are full of water,
they pour rain upon the earth.
Whether a tree falls to the south or to the north,
in the place where it falls, there will it lie.

4 Whoever watches the wind will not plant;
whoever looks at the clouds will not reap.

5 As you do not know the path of the wind,
or how the body is formed [a] in a mother’s womb,
so you cannot understand the work of God,
the Maker of all things.

6 Sow your seed in the morning,
and at evening let not your hands be idle,
for you do not know which will succeed,
whether this or that,
or whether both will do equally well.

Remember Your Creator While Young

7 Light is sweet,
and it pleases the eyes to see the sun. 8 However many years a man may live,
let him enjoy them all.
But let him remember the days of darkness,
for they will be many.
Everything to come is meaningless.

9 Be happy, young man, while you are young,
and let your heart give you joy in the days of your youth.
Follow the ways of your heart
and whatever your eyes see,
but know that for all these things
God will bring you to judgment.

10 So then, banish anxiety from your heart
and cast off the troubles of your body,
for youth and vigor are meaningless.

Ecclesiastes 12

1 Remember your Creator
in the days of your youth,
before the days of trouble come
and the years approach when you will say,
“I find no pleasure in them”-

2 before the sun and the light
and the moon and the stars grow dark,
and the clouds return after the rain;

3 when the keepers of the house tremble,
and the strong men stoop,
when the grinders cease because they are few,
and those looking through the windows grow dim;

4 when the doors to the street are closed
and the sound of grinding fades;
when men rise up at the sound of birds,
but all their songs grow faint;

5 when men are afraid of heights
and of dangers in the streets;
when the almond tree blossoms
and the grasshopper drags himself along
and desire no longer is stirred.
Then man goes to his eternal home
and mourners go about the streets.

6 Remember him—before the silver cord is severed,
or the golden bowl is broken;
before the pitcher is shattered at the spring,
or the wheel broken at the well,

7 and the dust returns to the ground it came from,
and the spirit returns to God who gave it.

8 “Meaningless! Meaningless!” says the Teacher. [b]
“Everything is meaningless!”

The Conclusion of the Matter

9 Not only was the Teacher wise, but also he imparted knowledge to the people. He pondered and searched out and set in order many proverbs. 10 The Teacher searched to find just the right words, and what he wrote was upright and true. 11 The words of the wise are like goads, their collected sayings like firmly embedded nails—given by one Shepherd. 12 Be warned, my son, of anything in addition to them.
Of making many books there is no end, and much study wearies the body.

13 Now all has been heard;
here is the conclusion of the matter:
Fear God and keep his commandments,
for this is the whole duty of man.

14 For God will bring every deed into judgment,
including every hidden thing,
whether it is good or evil.
