BATTLE CRY: Do you feel Equipped for Battle?

Just thought that I’d place this out there to give a little insight as to the kind of animation/activity I enjoy on the side. Yes, I am a die-hard Star Wars Fan—-especially of General Grievous and how he fights. Call me crazy, but that’s just how it is.

         Now this may seem silly, but has anyone ever considered that there is actual battling happening in the Spirit Realm right now? It’s not as if Angels and Demons have conferences….funny we can imagine fighting like this, but when it comes to Spiritual Warfare, many of us have an impression of Angels and Demons looking like little IMPS and CUPIDS……

 You’d think anything else but cupid/cute if you were to see a REAL ANGEL:

2 Samuel 24:15-17 

 15 So the LORD sent a plague on Israel from that morning until the end of the time designated, and seventy thousand of the people from Dan to Beersheba died. 16 When the angel stretched out his hand to destroy Jerusalem, the LORD was grieved because of the calamity and said to the angel who was afflicting the people, “Enough! Withdraw your hand.” The angel of the LORD was then at the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.

 17 When David saw the angel who was striking down the people, he said to the LORD, “I am the one who has sinned and done wrong. These are but sheep. What have they done? Let your hand fall upon me and my family.”

2 Kings 19:34-36

 34 I will defend this city and save it,
       for my sake and for the sake of David my servant.”

 35 That night the angel of the LORD went out and put to death a hundred and eighty-five thousand men in the Assyrian camp. When the people got up the next morning—there were all the dead bodies! 36 So Sennacherib king of Assyria broke camp and withdrew. He returned to Nineveh and stayed there.

 2 Chronicles 32:21
And the LORD sent an angel, who annihilated all the fighting men and the leaders and officers in the camp of the Assyrian king. So he withdrew to his own land in disgrace. And when he went into the temple of his god, some of his sons cut him down with the sword.

Daniel 10:12-14

 12 Then he continued, “Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them. 13 But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia. 14 Now I have come to explain to you what will happen to your people in the future, for the vision concerns a time yet to come.”

          All of those things are very interesting……not only in the power Angels possessed but the actions they engaged in. Now consider this, if Angels have that much fire-power and are in battle & yet they’re UNDER GOD’S CONTROL, then why is it that we act as if we have no firepower when it comes to the BATTLES AND ISSUES OF LIFE WHICH WE FACE DAILY? Why is it that we act as if we cannot conquer the things opposing us in the faith and yet there is so much at the Lord’s Disposal for those who SERVE HIM?

Again, I’m just curious…
